I just went to South Lakes Wild Animal Park with newsbot3 and can I just tell you? It is hands down the best zoo I have ever been to.

It is wonderful. I really think more zoos should follow their example. The biggest thing is that animals live together in much bigger enclosures - obviously things that eat each other are separate, but generally, animals ( Read more... )

I've been storing up my craftiness so I can inflict it on you in one big post, heh. This is what I've been making the last couple of weeks. Because nothing helps a bad mood like crafting :D

... that might seem snarky. Actually, I totally mean that. Crafty things are joy!

I've been very knitty lately (I... rather suspect that knitting is my primary fandom at the moment). And the great thing about knitting is that that means there are Things To Show You. Oh yes.

I promised a picture of the yarn I made, and here it is. I am ridiculously pleased with it: it's bumpy and uneven and very clearly a first go, but it is done and I did it! I think I'm calling it Blue China, for reasons which will be obvious when you see the picture.
